Family Pub & Steakhouse Restaurant

The Queens Head is a traditional 16th century family pub & restaurant, based in the delightful town of Ludgershall near Andover in Hampshire. The Queens Head features the new and exciting Black Rock Grill as well as a seasonal menu of locally sourced produce and a traditional Sunday lunch. All our food is home cooked quality food, so if your looking for a light lunch or an evening meal, come and join us in our non-smoking restaurant.

We have many features such as a real log fire, a function room and skittle alley for hire, along with a large secluded garden with play equipment. Not to mention our late licence for entertainment and charity events, which makes the Queens Head an ideal venue for all occasions.

Licensees Jane and Kevin would like to invite you to sample some good old fashioned hospitality!

Black Rock Grill Steakhouse

Where you cook your own steak!

Queens Head Steakhouse Restaurant features The Black Rock Grill which allows for a new, fresh and exciting dining experience where you cook your own food! Yes that's right, you cook your own steak...not what you expected!

Well, when you order from the BlackRock menu at The Queens Head in Ludgershall, you are presented with the best quality meat and fish of choice on a fiery hot, lava rock cooking stone, forged centuries ago in the core of a volcano.

Then it's over to you! Slice, dice or leave whole. Whether you like it blue, rare, medium or well done you are in control. Let it sizzle for seconds or for as long as you want! Because that's the beauty of the BlackRock cooking stones, they allow you to heat the food to your exacting needs, for the most perfect eating experience, you'll want to repeat again and again.

Large Garden, Play Area & Car Park

As well as hosting a large car park at the rear of the pub, the large secluded garden benefits from a children's play area with climbing frame and plenty of space to play, perfect for those summer days out with family or friends. As well as the large grassed garden area, there is also a sheltered seating area for when the weather is not on our side.

Dogs are welcome in the bar and garden area but we have a dog free zone in our main restaurant. If you do bring your dog out for the day,  we politely ask that you keep them on a lead and clean up any mess they may make.
